    ok, i upgraded my laptop hard drive and i bought an external encloser to put my old hard drive in to use as an external drive. my old HDD is 60gb not much but its good to back up data. and i plug it in but my computer cant read it. why? it says drive is corrupt or unreadable, wat do i do?

    Copying a desktop shortcut is not the same as copying the actual file. Congrats Dave, You just saved an icon without the file.

    300gb? I have two 1 TB external Hard Drives.
